i went to Fur the 'More 2026 this past weekend ^-^

fursuit parade

this was the fursuit parade. i think they did it saturday? idk i'm still too tired and hung over to remember. i think my favourite one had to be the purple character in the middle of the third video. the one who looks like they're in purple rubber, or maybe latex. sadly, their nametag was flipped, so i didn't get to see their name or pronouns. ping me on bluesky if this was you.

• OH MY GOD WHERE THE FUCK AM I GOING TO PARK?!?!
• Sparky, the first fursuiter i gave a big hug to. he was a mute, so he went "awwwww!". so cute :3
• a woman in a leather umbreon bodysuit, complete with tail. (hottttt)
• the elevator was a steaming pile of shit. there were panels up on the penthouse level i wanted to go to, but the elevator took literally 15-20 minutes to get there. supposedly, a few people even got stuck in one. if i got stuck in one where 9 of us were packed in like sardines, i'm pretty sure i'd just die.
• i kinda wish my gf was here. (she doesn't like crowds.) she's not a furry, but she's made something a lot of furries like. if she was here, she'd be a small celebrity. i've told her this, but, she still doesn't like crowds.
• i gave a lot of money to random homeless people until i later realised this was a bad idea. there is a lot of homeless people walking around in baltimore. after, i'm thinking i want to instead donate to the coalition for the homeless or something, and instead give out cards to the place. maybe i'll do that next big city i go to.
• went to a panel on TF (transformation) art. furries really like anything featuring transformation; i'm convinced we'll lead the eventual charge on posthuman enhancement. the panel was run by a rather older person who namedropped some obscure cartoon from the 1940s featuring someone who slowly turned into a pig for having bad manners. i hope to be that cool when i'm that that old.
• they kinda mushed the dealers den and the artists alley into the same area. never saw that before but it seems like a natural evolution of both.
• got to show off my game to people and even let them try it out. consensus was that Stinkhead needs richer animation and a faster ramp-up when running. i'm eternally grateful for everyone's input here; thank you all so much.
• the femboy hooters panel. it filled up the whole room. it was run by someone who treated the idea very seriously and presented as an honest-to-god pitch with proper enterprise planning and everything.
• an older guy who remembers 90s and 00s demoscene! i shared Titan Overdrive 2 for the sega genesis with him.
• in closing ceremonies, they had a streamer-style donators list for the frederick centre's charity drive. people kept donating dirty jokes in the name field, like "Sister Fister" or "Google e621.net". they promptly took it down after that, only putting it back up every now and then when people stopped. we eventually hit $25,000 for the frederick lgbtq centre!!
• i don't believe in a lick of this stuff, but apparently a lot of people said the lord baltimore hotel was haunted. even up on the 19th floor, supposedly, you can see a little girl with a red ball if you were unlucky enough.
• the doors at the monaco hotel next door would slam open and shut repeatedly, rhythmically, not to beat the haunted allegations there either.
• FURRY MAID CAFE.
• as a sponsor, i got the card that gave you two free meals per day at the lord baltimore hotel. unfortunately, the food at the lord baltimore hotel is mid. i ate one meal and just gave back the rest of the money.
• they say you only need six hours a day sleep when at a con, but i'm pretty sure i need at least 12. holy fuck i was so spent by sunday morning.

epilogue

overall, i recommend going to Fur the More. it's a cute, charming, smallish con and there's plenty of opportunities to make new friends :3
